Competely LOST PT2.

So, this upcoming summer my boyfriend and I have plans to watch every episode of LOST created on DVD. So I have made it my new goal to pay special attention to the questions addressed in this College Humor video:

One question that I'm a little upset that they hadn't mentioned in this College Humor video is: Why did they have to have Jack marry Juliet in real life and have a kid, have them get divorced, and not acknowledge each other in their heaven church?

And yes, it was pretty gross when when Hurley ate straight out of that tub of ranch dressing.

Completely LOST

Last night, I sat in front of the TV in my apartment with my boyfriend, for 6 straight hours watching all things LOST. Yes, from 7pm to 1am, I sat and reviewed all the character information in the LOST series finale preview show, I clung to every word during the finale, and I waited and hoped and prayed for an answer during Jimmy Kimmel.

As much as I have always loved LOST and its very predictable way of being unpredictable, I sat last night and wondered, have I had that equation backwards the whole time? Each episode, the events may be hard to pinpoint but last night, the writers chose an ending that was foreseeable from episode one.

After all their trials and tribulations, the cast separations and reunions, even the occasional visit from the smoke monster, and the whole time they were destined to die and live in their own purgatory until they completed the heaven they created for each other.

Now, from what I gather and believe, the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815 did survive the crash and have lived their lives out on the island. They did leave the island and return and they died in their own time and place and waited for each other to reassemble before they ascended into TV heaven.

However, was I the only one who felt a little nostalgia for Titanic? The very heaven the granny version of Rose DeWitt Bukater (then known as Rose Dawson after successful identity fraud) had created for herself and those far less fortunate who drowned in the wreckage of the Titanic seemed to peek interest in the minds of LOST's writers. Although, unlike their trio of spoof alternate endings, they chose not to point out the similarity in the finale of their choice.

I could be wrong, my boyfriend for one did not appreciate my comparison, but I still can't help but remembering two very similar quotes. As Jack walks into the church, couldn't you just see the last Titanic scene?

I mean, come on.

Anyway, aside from that, I did like how they tried to conclude the story line but they bit off a little more than they could chew. The posed too many questions to ever answer and I'm sorry but they really couldn't give an explanation for the damn polar bear? Really?

But what more can I say, LOST was and forever will be an amazing show. Oceanic Flight 815 will be forever embedded in my memory and will continue to make it impossible to remember my own flight number for a long time to come.

Back to the Stat-Rat Race.

Well, I just got back from vacation (4 days in Daytona, 3 days in Disney) and I'm starting to wish I never went. Not because I didn't have an amazing time but because I didn't realize how grueling my life has become until I left and have rejoined the working world.

I'm currently an Account Coordinator for a boutique public relations firm in Soho, which I love. I love the clients, I love my boss, I love the office, I love the area, however, I do not love the ratio of work to paycheck but who does?

I would love to go back to Disney and escape from life on the Expedition Everest and have my biggest worry be when is the Yetti going to jump out at me. But now I'm back at work and it's a whole world-wind of pitching, deadlines, event planning, client relations, media relations, following up, and even some occasional spy work for a client who is currently involved in a lawsuit with a copy cat designer.

Although, I do not have any particular theme for this blog I will be discussing whatever comes to mind so feel free to consider this the Seinfeld of blogs: the blog about nothing.
